2. Eligibility & Accounts

You must have legal capacity to enter into a purchase contract in your location. If you are under the age of legal majority, a parent or legal guardian must place the order or supervise your use of the website.

Where customer accounts are available, you are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for providing accurate, current information. Contact us promptly if you believe an account has been accessed without permission.

3. Website Use

You may use the website only for lawful personal or business purchasing purposes. You must not interfere with the website, checkout, security systems, customer accounts, data, servers or connected services.

Prohibited conduct includes unauthorised access, malicious code, automated scraping that burdens the website, fraudulent transactions, impersonation, infringement, unlawful content and attempts to bypass purchase limits or security controls.

4. Products & Information

CopperTheory sells cosmetic skincare, haircare and scalp-care products. We aim to present product names, descriptions, ingredient information, images, sizes, directions, prices and availability accurately.

Packaging, colour, texture, scent, photography and screen appearance may differ slightly from what you receive. Formula or packaging updates will not reduce any rights you have where a product is materially different from what was advertised or ordered.

The ingredient list printed on the product packaging is the most current list for that unit. Review it before use, particularly if you have allergies or sensitivities.

5. Cosmetic Use & Safety

CopperTheory products are cosmetics. They are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent disease or to replace medical advice, diagnosis or treatment.

• Follow the directions and warnings supplied with the product.
• Patch test new products before full use.
• Avoid ingestion and contact with eyes unless the product directions expressly permit use near the eye area.
• Stop use and seek appropriate professional advice if a significant or persistent reaction occurs.
• Consult a qualified professional before use if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, have a medical condition, take medication or are uncertain about suitability.

Individual cosmetic results and product experience vary. No result is guaranteed unless expressly stated in a legally binding written guarantee.

7. Pricing, Currency & Taxes

Prices may be displayed in a local currency based on the selected market or location. The final product price, shipping charge, discount, tax and order total shown at checkout govern the transaction, subject to correction of an obvious error before acceptance.

Prices may change for future orders without notice. A price change does not affect an order we have already accepted.

Sales tax, VAT, GST or similar taxes may be collected where required. Import duties, customs charges and local fees are addressed in the Shipping Policy and at checkout where available.

8. Payments & Fraud Checks

Payments are processed through Shopify checkout and available payment providers. By submitting payment details, you confirm that you are authorised to use the chosen payment method and authorise the applicable charges.

Payment providers may conduct their own verification, fraud prevention, currency conversion or security checks under their terms. We do not store full payment-card numbers in the theme or ordinary website content.

If a payment is declined, reversed or not successfully authorised, the order may not be accepted or fulfilled.

10. Shipping & Delivery

CopperTheory serves customers in the United States and worldwide wherever checkout offers an available delivery method. Orders may be fulfilled by CopperTheory or selected warehouses, fulfilment partners and carriers in different countries.

Processing and delivery estimates are explained in our Shipping Policy. Order-specific information shown at checkout, in the order confirmation or in a later customer update applies to that order.

If an order cannot be shipped within the promised timeframe, we will provide the delay, cancellation, consent or refund options required by applicable law. Delivery estimates are not guarantees where delays are caused by customs, carrier networks or events outside reasonable control, but this does not remove remedies required by law.

Unless you arrange your own independent carrier or applicable law provides otherwise, we remain responsible for the order until it is delivered to the delivery address provided at checkout.

11. Addresses, Customs & Duties

You must provide a complete and accurate recipient name, delivery address, unit or apartment number, city, state or region, postal code, country, email and phone number where requested.

Contact us promptly if you notice an error. We cannot guarantee changes after processing begins. Reasonable costs caused solely by an incorrect customer-provided address may be charged where permitted by law and disclosed before reshipment.

Cross-border orders may be subject to customs procedures, import duties, taxes, brokerage or local handling charges unless checkout expressly states that they are included. Customers are responsible for complying with lawful import requirements in the destination country.

12. Order Changes & Cancellations

Contact support as soon as possible to request an address change, product change or cancellation. We will make reasonable efforts to help, but cannot guarantee changes once an order has been accepted, processed, packed or dispatched.

If we cancel all or part of an order, we will explain the reason where appropriate and refund the cancelled amount. Nothing in this section limits a statutory cancellation or withdrawal right available in your country, state or region.

13. Returns, Refunds & Consumer Rights

Returns and refunds are handled under our Returns & Refunds Policy, together with any mandatory consumer rights that apply where you live.

Depending on your location, you may have statutory rights relating to cooling-off periods, faulty goods, products that do not match their description, delayed or missing delivery, repair, replacement, price reduction or refund. Those rights apply even if a store policy states a narrower voluntary return window.

Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies a right, guarantee, warranty or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded.

15. Payment Disputes

Please contact CopperTheory first where practical so we can investigate an order, delivery or return issue. This request does not remove any lawful right to contact your card issuer, bank, payment provider or consumer authority.

If a payment dispute is opened, we may provide relevant order, tracking, delivery, refund and communication records to the payment provider. You must not knowingly submit false or misleading information in a dispute.

16. Reviews & User Content

Reviews and testimonials must reflect genuine experiences and honest opinions. You are not required to leave a positive review. Any incentive, free product, payment, employment, personal relationship or other material connection must be clearly disclosed where required.

By submitting a review, photo, video, comment or other content, you confirm that you have the right to submit it and grant CopperTheory a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, reproduce, display and use that content in connection with the website and lawful brand marketing.

We may moderate or remove content that is fake, unlawful, abusive, irrelevant, infringes rights, contains private information or violates platform rules. We will not suppress an otherwise compliant review solely because it is negative.

17. Intellectual Property

The website and its text, product names, logos, graphics, packaging designs, photographs, videos, layouts, icons, software and other content are owned by CopperTheory or used under licence.

You may view and use the website for normal shopping and personal reference. You must not reproduce, sell, distribute, scrape, modify, publish or commercially exploit protected content without written permission, except where applicable law permits it.

18. Third-Party Services

The store may rely on Shopify, payment providers, review platforms, analytics, advertising, fulfilment partners, couriers, tracking providers, social platforms and other third parties.

Those services may have their own terms and privacy practices. CopperTheory remains responsible for its own obligations to you and does not use third-party involvement to exclude responsibility that applicable law places on the seller.

We are not responsible for independent third-party websites or services that you choose to access outside the CopperTheory transaction, except to the extent required by law.

19. Marketing Communications

Where you opt in or where law otherwise permits, we may send email or SMS messages about products, launches, education, offers and abandoned checkouts. Consent requirements and opt-out methods depend on your location.

You can unsubscribe using the link or instructions in the message or by contacting us. Transactional messages about orders, security, delivery and support may still be sent when necessary.

20. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, retain and protect personal information, including data processed for checkout, fraud prevention, fulfilment, support, analytics and marketing.

By using the store, you acknowledge that personal information may be processed internationally as described in that policy and subject to applicable privacy law.

21. Website Availability & Accuracy

We aim to keep the website secure, available and accurate, but temporary errors, maintenance, outages or delays may occur. We may correct non-material website errors and update content at any time.

Nothing in this section permits CopperTheory to replace or materially change an accepted product without your agreement or to avoid a remedy where information was misleading or the supplied product did not match the contract.

22. Liability & Consumer Protections

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for fraud, wilful misconduct, death or personal injury caused by negligence, breach of a mandatory consumer guarantee, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CopperTheory is not responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable when the contract was formed, or for business losses arising from a purchase made primarily for personal use.

Where applicable law allows a remedy or liability to be limited, any limitation will apply only to the extent that it is fair, lawful and consistent with mandatory consumer rights.

24. Governing Law & Disputes

CopperTheory is operated by Mounir Khalil, an individual/sole trader in Victoria, Australia, under ABN 30 659 443 705, and sells globally with the United States as its primary customer market. Unless mandatory law in your location requires otherwise, these Terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia.

This choice of law does not deprive you of mandatory consumer protections available in your country, state or region. You may bring a claim in any court or forum available to you under applicable mandatory law.

Before formal proceedings, we encourage both parties to contact each other and attempt to resolve the issue in good faith. This does not restrict urgent relief, statutory complaint rights, chargeback rights or legal limitation periods.

25. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms to reflect legal, operational, security or service changes. The revised version will be posted on this page with a new “Last updated” date.

Changes apply prospectively. The Terms in effect when you place an order generally govern that order unless a change is required by law or is expressly agreed with you.
